Alizeh Shah Breaks Silence on Death Rumors, Slams Media for Harassment

Renowned Pakistani actress and model Alizeh Shah has publicly addressed disturbing rumors about her death that circulated after she temporarily left Instagram.

In a recent Instagram story, Alizeh expressed deep disappointment over the behavior of mainstream media, social media users, and general internet audiences. She revealed that after she deactivated her Instagram and removed all posts, several news channels shockingly contacted her parents, asking if she had died.

Alizeh emphasized how distressing and painful this experience was for her family. “No one can imagine what it’s like for your parents to receive a phone call asking if their child is alive,” she wrote.

She went on to say that while online trolling and harsh criticism previously impacted her mental health, it has now begun to affect her physical well-being too. “The constant negativity, baseless comments, and online bullying have pushed me to a breaking point,” Alizeh stated.

The actress added that she is left with no choice but to distance herself from social and mainstream media to protect her peace and safety. “I don’t know when I’ll return to media or social platforms—or even to acting. Things have gone beyond what I can handle,” she explained.

Alizeh pleaded with media outlets and the public to stop the smear campaigns and false rumors. “Please let me breathe. Let me live,” she urged.

Earlier, Alizeh had posted on Instagram that she was alive, even after deleting all her previous posts. This isn’t the first time the actress has taken a break from social media due to online toxicity.
