
Maryam Nawaz CM meets Finland’s ambassador, discusses strengthening bilateral relations
LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Friday met with the Ambassador of Finland, Hannu Ripatti, to discuss various matters, including bilateral relations, educational collaboration, and trade.
During the meeting, the significant development of Finland in the fields of education and technology was acknowledged, with an emphasis on enhancing cooperation in these areas. Both sides agreed to strengthen high-level diplomatic ties to further promote Pakistan-Finland relations.
Maryam Nawaz welcomed the reopening of the Finnish Embassy in Islamabad, noting that Pakistan and Finland share values based on democracy and sustainable development. She praised Finland’s expertise in education, technology, and environmental protection, which serve as a model for others. The Chief Minister also highlighted the positive contribution of the Pakistani community in Finland to both countries’ growth.
She emphasized that collaboration between Pakistan and Finland in vocational training is an important milestone. Maryam Nawaz further pointed out that there are vast opportunities in Punjab for Finnish collaboration in renewable energy, agricultural technology, digital services, and education.
CM Congratulates Christian Community on Election of new Pope
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated the Christian community on the election of American-born Cardinal Robert Prevost as the new Pope. She expressed her best wishes for Cardinal Pope Robert Prevost, saying “Hopefully, Cardinal Pope Robert Prevost will carry forward the noble mission of connecting the world in a relationship of love and tolerance.”
