KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid conditions for Karachi over the next 24 hours, with maximum temperatures expected to range between 37°C and 39°C.
As of Monday afternoon, the temperature in the city stood at 33°C, while humidity levels remained high at 67%, making the weather feel 3 to 4 degrees hotter than the actual reading due to the humidity index.
“Southwesterly winds are currently blowing at around 10 kilometers per hour,” the PMD reported.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature recorded in the city was 37.2°C, and similar conditions are expected to persist throughout the week.
Meteorologists have advised residents to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure, and limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours to prevent heat-related illnesses.
