Asian Squash Championship: Pakistan qualify to Quarter Final

Pakistan’s Nasir Iqbal reaches quarter-finals of Asian Squash Championship.

Nasir Iqbal managed to make it to the quarter-finals after his brilliant performance in the ongoing Asian Squash Championship in Kuching, Malaysia, while Noor Zaman faced defeat.
In the pre-quarterfinals, Nasir Iqbal defeated the Hong Kong player and won against Lai Cheuk Nam 11-7, 2-11, 11-5 and 11-8, while in the quarterfinals he will face Hong Kong’s Henry Leung. On the other hand, World Under-23 Champion Noor Zaman lost his match in the pre-quarterfinals. Noor Zaman suffered an injury during the match but completed the match despite having back pain.
Noor Zaman was defeated by Malaysia’s Joasim Chuaha 3-2. The Malaysian player’s winning score against Noor Zaman was 11-3, 11-3, 3-11, 10-12 and 11-2.
