IRGC Warns of Devastating Retaliation After US Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Facilities
Revolutionary Guard brands American bases as ‘greatest vulnerability’, vows escalation via Operation True Promise III
TEHRAN – June 2025:
Iran’s powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stern warning to the United States, promising “devastating retaliation” after US-led airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan — an operation described by Tehran as a “blatant act of aggression and international law violation.”
In an official statement released on Sunday, the IRGC accused Washington of aligning itself with Israel in a criminal conspiracy aimed at undermining Iran’s peaceful nuclear development and regional stability.
“This attack is a clear violation of the UN Charter, the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), and the fundamental principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the IRGC said.
The strikes, publicly confirmed by US President Donald Trump via his social media platforms, mark a major escalation in US-Iran tensions, potentially reigniting a wider Middle East conflict.
‘US Bases Are Vulnerabilities, Not Assets’
Referring to the vast American military presence in the region, the IRGC asserted that the “number, scale, and spread” of US bases are not strategic strengths but rather critical vulnerabilities that could be “easily exploited” in any retaliatory move.
“Those who have violated this land must now await responses that will bring deep regret,” the statement warned.
The IRGC also claimed that Iranian forces had tracked the origin points of US aircraft used in the strikes, stating that these locations are now under round-the-clock surveillance.
Nuclear Program Will Not Be Deterred
Despite the attack, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) said operations at the nuclear sites remain uninterrupted and insisted the program is entirely peaceful and under IAEA supervision.
“Iran’s indigenous nuclear technology cannot be dismantled by missiles,” the AEOI declared.
“This aggression only strengthens the resolve of Iranian scientists and the Iranian nation.”
