North Korea Condemns U.S. Strike on Iran Nuclear Sites, Warns of Global Security Threat

PYONGYANG —
North Korea has issued a strong condemnation of the recent U.S. military strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, labeling the action a grave violation of international law and Iranian sovereignty.

In an official statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), the regime denounced the strike as a “blatant breach of the UN Charter”, warning that such actions risk destabilizing not only the Middle East but global peace and security at large.

The DPRK strongly condemns the U.S. military attack on Iran, viewing it as a serious infringement on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of a fellow sovereign nation, the statement read.

North Korea further accused the United States — alongside Israel — of pursuing military aggression under the guise of peacekeeping and counterterrorism.

The foreign ministry spokesperson argued that unilateral military interventions are becoming a dangerous trend, undermining the foundational principles of international diplomacy and fueling geopolitical instability.

“The use of force to infringe on the political and territorial independence of nations is a reckless provocation that endangers the fragile state of global peace,” the DPRK added.

The statement also urged the international community to collectively resist what it described as hostile and hegemonic policies pursued by Washington and Tel Aviv. It called for stronger multilateral efforts to uphold sovereignty, non-intervention, and the rule of international law.

The condemnation comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East following the strike, and signals North Korea’s alignment with Iran against perceived Western aggression — a position consistent with Pyongyang’s long-standing opposition to U.S. foreign policy.
