KARACHI – In a major counterintelligence operation, Pakistan’s Special Security Unit (SSU) and intelligence agencies arrested four suspects in Karachi’s Malir Quaidabad area on Wednesday, accusing them of working for India’s intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

According to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), the detainees were involved in reconnaissance missions targeting sensitive military installations and critical China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) infrastructure.

The suspects were identified as Muhammad Khan Bariyo alias Guloo, Akhtar, Jameen Mullah alias Jaman, and Ghulam Qadir alias Akash.

SIU’s Superintendent of Police Muhammad Shoaib Memon revealed that Muhammad Khan, the main accused and a resident of Sujawal district, had allegedly been in contact with Indian intelligence since 2009. He reportedly maintained communication with an Indian officer identified as Colonel Ranjeet from the Border Security Force’s Camp No. 59.

Investigators claim the network provided classified data, including photographs, personnel deployment details, and geo-tagged locations of strategic Pakistani assets.
