PM Shehbaz Praises Bilawal, Diplomatic Team for Effectively Countering Indian Narrative Abroad
Islamabad — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday commended PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the senior diplomatic delegation for what he described as a “highly successful and impactful” international tour to counter India’s global propaganda and effectively present Pakistan’s stance on recent regional tensions.
The remarks came during a meeting between the prime minister and the delegation at the Prime Minister’s Office, where Bilawal briefed Shehbaz Sharif on the outcomes of the diplomatic mission to the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union capitals. A dinner was also hosted in their honour.
The delegation was tasked with highlighting Pakistan’s narrative and promoting peace amid the escalating rhetoric from New Delhi. The tour addressed sensitive issues, including the Pahalgam incident and matters surrounding the Indus Waters Treaty.
“The team conveyed Pakistan’s viewpoint with clarity, maturity, and a unified national spirit,” said PM Shehbaz. “The international community is recognising this effort, and we are proud of how the delegation fought Pakistan’s case and returned with success.”
He lauded Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership and diplomatic effectiveness, acknowledging his role in steering complex discussions at global forums.
Referring to India’s recent aggressive posturing, the premier stated: “India’s unjustified war hysteria was met with a firm, strategic, and diplomatic response. With the prayers of our nation and the strength of our armed forces, we’ve shown resilience.”
On the domestic front, Shehbaz also touched on the recently announced federal budget, thanking coalition partners — particularly the PPP — for their cooperation. He emphasized the government’s efforts to support salaried citizens and low-income groups amidst economic challenges.
Looking ahead, the prime minister expressed confidence that with the continued involvement of seasoned political and diplomatic leaders, Pakistan would continue to navigate both internal pressures and regional challenges with prudence and resolve.
