Scarlett Johansson gets emotional as she recalls childhood memories with twin brother Hunter

Scarlett Johansson has opened up about a rare and emotional moment with her twin brother, Hunter Johansson, during a recent appearance on Today With Jenna & Friends.

The Black Widow star offered fans a touching glimpse into her personal life, sharing childhood memories and the strong bond she shares with her siblings.

While discussing her family, Scarlett recalled a particularly heartwarming experience from a visit to Montauk, Long Island.

“A couple of years ago, we were in Montauk at one of those surf shop places, and there were two mini keychain surfboards. One said Scarlett, and then we found Hunter,” she shared.

The unexpected moment left a deep impression on both siblings. “We legit cried,” she admitted. “We looked at each other and it was like, ‘They see us.’” Scarlett laughed as she admitted they may have overreacted, but the experience clearly meant a lot.

Scarlett, who has enjoyed a wildly successful Hollywood career, rarely speaks publicly about her twin, who has taken a different path. Unlike his superstar sister, Hunter Johansson has kept a relatively low profile, focusing on philanthropic work. In 2018, he founded Solar Responders, a nonprofit that supports first responders with solar-powered energy solutions.

The Johansson twins come from a large family, with siblings Adrian and Vanessa Johansson, older half-brother Christian, and adopted younger sister Fenan Sloan. Scarlett also shares a close relationship with Vanessa, with whom she collaborated on a 2016 Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland audiobook for Audible. Vanessa directed the project while Scarlett lent her voice to narrate the story.

Speaking about the experience, Vanessa told People: “It was a no-brainer. We’re very close and have been doing funny voices since we were little.” She added, “There was a lot of laughter and goofiness. The story is so wacky and out-there, we were like, ‘This was written for children?!’”

Though Scarlett Johansson remains one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, her recent reflections show that family and the small, sentimental moments they share—remain at the heart of her world.
