Farewell and welcoming Reception at Malaysian High Commission Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Kelab STMI held a farewell reception in honour of Mr. Suhaidi bin Ab Razak, Assistant Immigration Attaché II, and to welcome his successor, Mrs. Nurul Haiza binti Alias.
The event, attended by officers and staff of the High Commission, was graced by Ambassador Dato’ Azhar Mazlan, who expressed his sincere appreciation to Kelab STMI for organising the occasion. In his remarks, the Ambassador conveyed his gratitude to Mr. Suhaidi for his dedicated service and commended his successful completion of tenure in Pakistan.

Ambassador Dato’ Azhar also took the opportunity to welcome Mrs. Nurul to the High Commission and expressed confidence in her capabilities. He called on all staff to render their full cooperation to ensure a smooth transition and continued excellence in service. He emphasised the importance of teamwork, unity, harmony, and a positive work culture in collectively advancing Malaysia’s image and profile in Pakistan.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic handover of the “Nota Serah Tugas” from Mr. Suhaidi to Mrs. Nurul, marking the formal commencement of her responsibilities as the new Assistant Immigration Attaché II.

The official ceremony was followed by a potluck luncheon, a cherished tradition among members of the High Commission. This culinary gathering served as a reflection of the spirit of camaraderie, unity, and kindness shared between the Home-Based Staff (HBS) and Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) through the sharing of diverse Malaysian cuisine.

The High Commission extends its best wishes to Mr. Suhaidi in his future endeavours and warmly welcomes Mrs. Nurul into her new role in Islamabad.
