Pakistan’s first international gold medalist wrestler Deen Muhammad passes away
Lahore: Baba Din Muhammad, who won Pakistan’s first gold medal in the Manila Asian Games in 1954, has passed away.
According to the spokesperson of the Sports Board Punjab, Baba Din Muhammad won Pakistan’s first gold medal in wrestling competitions in 1954. Baba Din Muhammad passed away at the age of 100 due to a long illness. Baba Din Muhammad had been undergoing treatment in the hospital for a long time.
DG Sports Punjab Khizr Afzal Chaudhry expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Pakistan’s first international gold medalist wrestler Deen Muhammad. He said that Deen Muhammad was Pakistan’s first Asian gold medalist who brought glory to the country.
