Azerbaijan signs $2 billion investment deal in Pakistan

Khankandi: Major progress in Pakistan-Azerbaijan investment partnership, Azerbaijan has signed an agreement to invest $2 billion in Pakistan.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the flow of investment into Pakistan continues.
In the presence of Shahbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikael Jabbarov signed an agreement for Azerbaijan to invest a total of $2 billion in Pakistan’s economic sector.
On this occasion, the Pakistani delegation was also with the Prime Minister. After a cordial meeting between the Prime Minister and the Azeri President in Khankandi today, the agreement was signed between the two countries.

The final and detailed agreement will be signed during the Azeri President’s visit to Pakistan. The agreement has taken investment and trade relations between the two countries to a historic level.

This agreement will prove to be a guarantee for further promotion of brotherly relations between the two countries and further strengthening of trade partnership.

Prior to the recent visit of the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Pakistani diplomatic missions and delegations, each of the aspects of this agreement were discussed.

The two countries also agreed on further exchanges to promote cooperation in various sectors between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
