Governor Punjab Stresses Ummah Unity, Strengthening Pakistan-Iran Relations
LAHORE – Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan underscored the importance of unity and solidarity within the Muslim Ummah to counter attempts aimed at destabilizing Islamic nations effectively.
During a meeting with Iranian Consul General Mehran Mowahid Far at the Iranian Consulate in Lahore, the governor offered Fateha for those martyred in ongoing Israeli aggression, paying heartfelt tribute to the victims.
The Iranian diplomat thanked the government and people of Pakistan for their consistent support during these challenging times. He also conveyed his condolences over the recent loss of life caused by heavy rains and floods in Pakistan.
Governor Haider Khan reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering bond with Iran, noting that the two countries share deep-rooted ties based on common religion, culture, and historical heritage.
He further emphasized the need to enhance bilateral trade, expressing a strong commitment to elevating Pakistan-Iran relations to new levels of cooperation and mutual benefit.
The governor reiterated that Pakistan has always stood firmly for the sovereignty and integrity of Muslim nations, and will continue to advocate for their collective strength and unity.
