
Indian government orders BCCI to postpone Bangladesh tour
Delhi: (Web Desk) Indian media reports are saying that the government has asked the Indian Cricket Board to postpone the tour of Bangladesh.
According to Indian media, the Modi government has asked to postpone the tour due to political tensions between the two countries. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has also stopped the sale of media rights for the series against the Indian team.
Indian media claimed that the Indian broadcaster was told that the series would no longer take place.
According to a Bangladesh Cricket Board official, the dates for the series have not been fixed yet, the BCCI has said that it is difficult to tour in August, an announcement regarding the postponement of the tour will be made soon.It should be noted that the Indian team was scheduled to tour Bangladesh in August for a series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches. The series was scheduled from August 17 to August 31.
