‘Squid Game 3’ sets new world record within three days in release
Seoul: The third and final season of Netflix’s globally popular Korean series ‘Squid Game’ has set a new record.
According to foreign media reports, the third season of Netflix’s popular Korean series ‘Squid Game’ was released on June 27 and became a worldwide sensation in the first 72 hours. In just three days, the season was viewed 61 million times, making it the biggest global opening in Netflix’s history.
The series ranked first in 93 countries and became the ninth most-watched non-English language series.
The new season features more intense gameplay and violent scenes than previous seasons, which viewers have mixed opinions on. Some have found the scenes more realistic, while others have found them unnecessarily violent.
According to series director Hwang Dong-hyuk, this time the story revolves around human hope, morality, and difficult decisions, which have been presented in a better way than before.
