
World Police and Fire Games: Pakistan wins 2 more medals
Pakistan has won two more medals in the ongoing World Police and Fire Games in the United States, taking Pakistan’s total medal tally in the event to three.
The World Police Games are underway in Birmingham, Alabama, where Islamabad Police Constable Ali Nawaz won a silver medal in boxing today.
Ali Nawaz won the silver medal in the 86 kg cruiserweight category. In the gold medal bout, Ali Nawaz was defeated by the Australian boxer 2-3.
On the other hand, Furqan Khan, who belongs to the Punjab Police, won another medal. Furqan Khan won the bronze medal in the 125 kg freestyle. Furqan Khan defeated wrestlers from the United States and Mongolia in this event.
Furqan Khan had earlier also won a bronze medal in the 130 kg Greco-Roman style.
Shaheer Afridi of Sindh Police has already reached the final of the boxing event in this event.
