New Delhi: (Dunya News) Modi government’s poor policies, 25 crore workers have announced a nationwide strike.

Workers held protests in several major cities of India, police lathicharged the protesters.

Key services like postal services, coal mining, factories and state transport were badly affected due to the protests.
According to Indian media, public transport and rail stations were closed in many major cities including Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru. Workers from postal, coal mining, transport, and many other sectors joined the “Bharat Bandh” strike. The strike call was given under the joint forum of 10 central trade unions of India.
According to Indian media, trade unions accused the Modi government of adopting “anti-labor, anti-farmer and anti-national policies”. Trade unions say that after months of intensive preparations, a nationwide strike is going to be held.

Farmers, rural workers and informal sector workers will also participate in the strike. The failure to hold a labor conference for 10 years is a clear indication of the government’s apathy.
