6,300 foreigners deport in Kuwait

Jul 10, 2025

Kuwait deported 6,300 foreigners over two months for violating residency and labor laws.

Kuwait’s Interior Ministry deported nearly 6,300 expatriates during May and June 2025, the ministry said, as part of an ongoing campaign to enforce residency and labor regulations.

Many of the deportees were referred to the department by various interior departments and in some cases were subject to court decisions.
According to the report, the department is committed to expediting deportation procedures and ensuring that detainees receive humane care and essential services during their temporary detention.
Field units across the country continue to conduct security operations targeting migrants residing or working in the country illegally. Those arrested have been taken into custody and handed over to the relevant authorities for further action.

The Ministry of Interior has stepped up enforcement in recent months, in line with broader efforts to regulate the labor market and uphold immigration laws.
