Advocate Jawad Khan Shot Dead in Lahore; Another Body Found Stuffed in Drum
Lahore – July 14, 2025: In a tragic incident that has shocked the legal and civil community, Advocate Jawad Khan was shot dead by unknown assailants in Lahore’s Baghbanpura area, police confirmed on Sunday.
According to initial police reports, unidentified suspects entered the victim’s residence, opened fire, and fled the scene, leaving Jawad Khan fatally wounded. Rescue and law enforcement teams responded immediately, but the lawyer succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
Authorities have begun an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area. The motive behind the attack is still unknown.
Body of 55-Year-Old Man Found in Drum in Shafiqabad
In a separate incident, police discovered the body of a 55-year-old man inside a sealed drum in the Shafiqabad area of Lahore.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the man was murdered several days ago, and his body was hidden in the drum to avoid detection. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed, and efforts are underway to trace the culprits.
The police have registered both cases and launched separate investigations, as concerns grow over the rising number of violent crimes in the provincial capital.
