
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to Attend High-Level Trilateral Conference in Tehran
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is set to depart for Tehran on Sunday for a significant official visit, where he will participate in a trilateral conference addressing pilgrimage and border management issues.
The high-level summit, scheduled to take place on Monday in the Iranian capital, will also be attended by the interior ministers of Iran and Iraq. This trilateral engagement has been convened at Pakistan’s initiative, reflecting the country’s proactive role in fostering regional cooperation and resolving cross-border challenges.
Key topics on the agenda include the facilitation and security of religious pilgrims, strengthening border controls, and enhancing joint mechanisms to manage regional security threats.
During his visit, Interior Minister Naqvi is also expected to hold a bilateral meeting with the newly elected President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, to discuss broader matters of mutual interest, including counter-terrorism, immigration control, and regional stability.
This diplomatic engagement marks an important step in fostering trilateral collaboration and ensuring safer and more coordinated border protocols among the three neighboring nations.
