Pakistan Finalises Junior Squad for FIVB World Championship in Uzbekistan

Islamabad – July 16, 2025:
The Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) has officially announced a 12-member national junior team for the FIVB World Junior Volleyball Championship, set to be held in Uzbekistan from July 24 to August 4.

The team will be led by captain Mohammad Yahya, and features a lineup of promising young athletes including Talal Ahmed, Tayyab Khan, Khizar Hayat, Mohammad Anas, Mohammad Jibran, Ajmal Junaid, Abu Bakar, Mohammad Hassan, Muhtad Shah, Mohammad Irfan, and Javed Ahmed.

The coaching and support staff for the championship includes Saeed Ahmed Khan, Ahsan Iqbal, and Mohammad Salman, with Mazhar Fareed serving as the team manager.

The squad is scheduled to depart for Uzbekistan on July 22, where they will compete among 24 international teams. The championship offers a major platform for Pakistan’s junior players to demonstrate their talent and gain critical international experience.

The PVF expressed confidence in the team’s preparation and readiness, noting that the players have undergone rigorous training and physical conditioning ahead of the global event. The federation hopes this exposure will help elevate Pakistan’s status in international volleyball.
