
Attempted murder case filed against Indian cricketer’s wife
A case of attempt to murder has been registered against Hussain Jahan, the wife of renowned Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami.
According to Indian media, a case of attempt to murder has been registered against Mohammed Shami’s wife Hussain Jahan, ‘who has been living separately from her husband for a long time’, in Birbhum district of the state of Bengal.
According to Indian media, the dispute began over a plot of land said to be owned by Hussain Jahan’s daughter Arshi Jahan from her first husband. Allegedly, a woman from the neighborhood, Guddu Bibi, tried to take possession of the plot, which led to a fight.
According to local media, Hussain Jahan, along with his daughter, tortured Gaddu Bibi for starting construction work on the plot. Allegedly, the locals also made a video of the incident, which is going viral on social media, but this video has not been verified.
Similarly, conflicting reports have also emerged that the said plot originally belonged to Guddu Bibi and Hussain Jahan was trying to take possession of it.
According to Indian media, the woman who was tortured was shifted to the hospital due to head injuries.
After the incident, both Hussain Jahan and his neighbor filed a complaint against each other at the police station.
