Emma Watson banned from driving for 6 months
Emma Watson, the actress who rose to fame in the Harry Potter film series, has been banned from driving for up to 6 months.
The 35-year-old British actress was banned for speeding.
The actress was caught driving at 38 mph in a 30 mph zone in Oxford, England, on July 31, 2024.
The actress has now been sentenced by the court.
The High Wycombe Magistrates Court, in its ruling on July 16, sentenced the actress to a fine of $1,400 and a six-month driving ban.
The actress did not appear at the court hearing.

Interestingly, immediately after Emma Watson’s trial, the court heard another speeding case against another Harry Potter actress, Zoë Wanamaker.
The actress played the role of Quidditch teacher Madam Hooch in the film series and was caught speeding in August 2024 and was also given the same sentence as Emma Watson.
According to British media, both actresses had 9 penalty points on their driving licenses before the speeding incident, while an additional 3 points were added in the new cases, which resulted in a 6-month ban under British law.
It should be noted that Emma Watson has been away from the film world for a long time and is currently working for teaching and women’s rights.
