
Four Dacoits Killed in Police Encounter After Deadly Robbery in Pannu Aqil
PANNU AQIL — Four armed dacoits were shot dead during an intense encounter with police after they murdered two villagers and injured another during a robbery attempt in a nearby village.
According to police sources, the incident began when the dacoits tried to rob a village. Upon resistance from the locals, the assailants opened indiscriminate fire, resulting in the deaths of Ahmad Ali and Nisar Mohammad, while another villager, Hafeez Mehar, sustained serious bullet wounds.
Following the attack, the culprits fled and hid in nearby sugarcane fields. Acting swiftly on the report, SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan Mughal led a large contingent of police to the scene and launched a search and cordon operation.
In the ensuing exchange of fire, all four dacoits were neutralized. Their bodies were taken into custody and shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) Pannu Aqil for identification and legal procedures.
Authorities said the slain suspects were notorious criminals wanted in multiple cases across the region.
