
Ambassador of the Netherlands calls on Federal Minister for Human Rights for Farewell Meeting
ISLAMABAD: Her Excellency Henny Fokel de Vries, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Pakistan, met with Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Federal Minister for Human Rights, for a farewell meeting marking the conclusion of her diplomatic assignment in Pakistan.
The Minister welcomed the Ambassador and appreciated her efforts in strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and the Netherlands. He acknowledged her significant contributions to promoting dialogue on human rights and advancing the protection of minority rights during her tenure.
The Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to upholding human rights in line with the Constitution and international obligations. He also briefed the Ambassador on Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to address intolerance and foster social cohesion.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude for the support and hospitality extended by the Government of Pakistan and appreciated the constructive engagement on key human rights issues throughout her tenure. She reaffirmed the Netherlands’ continued support for initiatives promoting inclusion, tolerance, and democratic values.
