CJCSC Sahir Shamshad represents Pakistan at IDEF-2025 in Istanbul
RAWALPINDI: General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), represented Pakistan at the 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF-2025) in Istanbul, Turkiye.
The globally acclaimed event showcases cutting-edge defence innovations and strategic advancements, drawing participation from leading military and industry stakeholders worldwide.
On the sidelines, General Mirza held separate meetings with General (r) Yasar Guler, Minister of National Defence of Turkiye; Colonel General Hasanov Zakir Asgar Oglu, Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan; Gurbanov Agil Salim Oglu, Deputy Minister of Defence Azerbaijan; and General Metin Gurak, Chief of the Turkish General Staff.
According to Pakistani military’s media wing, discussions centred on broadening bilateral military cooperation and exploring enhanced engagement in defence and security.
All dignitaries expressed a shared commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships amid evolving geo-strategic dynamics and rapid technological shifts, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Wednesday.
The professionalism and operational excellence of the Pakistan Armed Forces were widely acknowledged, with specific praise for their decisive role in combating terrorism and their contributions to both regional and global peace efforts.
