TikToker Aimal Flaunts Weapons Despite Ban, Challenges Authorities
Lahore – July 23, 2025: In a blatant violation of cybercrime and public safety regulations, TikToker Aimal Mehmood Ahmed Mughal has stirred fresh controversy by openly displaying firearms in a video shared widely on TikTok, raising concerns over ineffective enforcement of existing laws.
The viral footage shows the female TikToker confidently seated with a pistol in her lap. This image appears to deliberately challenge the weapon display ban imposed by the Punjab government.
Under the Cyber Crime Directorate (CCD) of Punjab, the public exhibition of arms, particularly on digital platforms, is strictly prohibited. Violations are punishable under provincial law, but critics argue that the rules are rarely enforced consistently.
“This is not just a casual act—it’s a public provocation,” said an official source within the Punjab Police. “Displaying weapons on social media is a crime under CCD regulations. It promotes fear and normalizes dangerous behavior among youth.”
Observers believe the video is not only a breach of public safety codes but also a direct affront to the authority of the IG Punjab Police and cyber law enforcement agencies.
While no formal action has yet been announced, the footage has prompted calls for swift and decisive measures against such digital misconduct. Civil society groups and legal experts have reiterated the need for stricter enforcement and accountability, particularly as social media continues to influence young audiences.
This latest incident adds to a growing list of concerns regarding the misuse of platforms like TikTok to spread content that glorifies violence and undermines public order.
