
India tried to hack data 1684 times during the war, FBR reveals
Islamabad: The FBR has revealed that during the Indo-Pak war, India attempted to hack data 1,684 times. Praal foiled 1,684 attempts to hack data to steal FBR data.
In a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance, FBR officials gave a briefing on the Finance Bill and the concerns of traders. The FBR assured to increase the limit on cash transactions for registered businesses from Rs 200,000 to Rs 2.5 million.
Currently, the FBR has imposed a limit of Rs 200,000 on cash transactions for registered businesses. The FBR has 200,000 registered traders and 30,000 registered manufacturers.
Member Operations FBR Hamid Atiq said that the FBR is filing Rs 8 million in income tax returns annually. If FBR officers ask for bribes, food or even a place to sleep in business permits, they will be suspended.
According to officials, a team of 900 FBR officers is currently deployed for monitoring about 400 business permits.
The business community says that the prices of gas, electricity, and water are higher for businesses in the country than in other countries in the region. Due to sales tax on local yarn, they are bringing imported yarn, which is satisfactory to the clients.
Member Operations FBR Hamid Atiq Sarwar said that cotton production in the country is decreasing every season, artificial intelligence is being used for the clearance of cargoes.
There is an agreement between FBR Customs in collaboration with Risk Management System UK for the use of artificial intelligence.
