Israel announces 10-hour daily ceasefire in three Gaza areas
Gaza: Under international pressure, Israel has announced a 10-hour daily ceasefire in three areas of Gaza and claimed to have begun delivering aid by air and land.
Egyptian media reported that aid supplies were being delivered to Gaza by Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, but it was not clear how many trucks had been sent to Gaza or when more aid would be delivered.
According to a Reuters report, the Israeli army has announced that it will temporarily halt daily military operations in three specific areas of Gaza. This announcement came as Israeli authorities claimed to have taken several measures to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territory.
The Israeli military said that this temporary pause will be in effect daily in Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah and Gaza City from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until further notice. In these areas, designated safe routes will also remain open permanently from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. to allow the movement of civilians and aid vehicles.
According to the French news agency, after severe international criticism of the serious situation of hunger and famine in Gaza, Israel has claimed to have dropped aid supplies into the Gaza Strip by air.

The Israeli military said in a statement on Telegram that the airlift of humanitarian aid was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to make the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip possible and effective. This will improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza and refute the false claim that Israel is deliberately creating a famine.
The heads of the United Nations and other humanitarian agencies are expressing serious doubts about the effectiveness of this measure, saying that the provision of air aid is not only inadequate but could also increase the risk to people suffering from severe hunger.
