Lahore Policemen Suspended for Colluding with Criminals During Duty Hours
Lahore – July 27, 2025:
Two Lahore police constables have been suspended and booked for negligence and criminal collusion during official duty.
An FIR was lodged at the Defence C Police Station against Constable Sajid Ali and Kamran under Section 155-C, following revelations that the two officers were absent from duty at a high-security location. Further investigation revealed their involvement with local drug dealers and other criminals, raising serious concerns about internal corruption within the force.
The suspension comes amid a broader crackdown on misconduct within the Lahore Police. Earlier this week, eight officers were dismissed, while three others received final warnings after a disciplinary review at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh. The hearing, led by DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, addressed 11 show-cause notices pending against officers for various violations.
DIG Kamran issued a strong message during the proceedings:
“There will be no compromise on discipline. Corruption, negligence, or misbehavior—regardless of rank—will not be tolerated.”
The Lahore police leadership has vowed to continue internal reforms and strict enforcement of accountability to restore public trust and ensure law enforcement integrity.
