Police in Deepalpur arrest man for raping partially blind girl

Police in Deepalpur on Sunday arrested the man, a tailor by profession, who had raped an 11-year-old partially blind girl, within 12 hours after receiving orders from DPO Rashid Hidayat.

The child had gone to Wasim’s shop to fetch a thread when the latter raped her.

Police have registered a case while the special unit of the SSOIU has been tasked with an investigation into the incident.

On the other hand, the DPO said that the suspect would be given an exemplary punishment. “The provision of justice is a priority,” he said, adding, “The victim will not be left alone.”
