
Tourists Stranded in Diamer as Floods and Landslides Hit Northern Pakistan; More Rain Forecast
Diamer, Gilgit-Baltistan – July 27, 2025: Dozens of tourists remain stranded in the picturesque region of Fairy Meadows, Diamer, as landslides and flash floods have rendered several routes in Gilgit-Baltistan inaccessible, reported 24NewsHD TV on Sunday.
In response to the worsening situation, Pakistan Army helicopters have been airlifting trapped tourists to safe zones, as inclement weather continues to challenge rescue efforts.

Medium flood at Taunsa Barrage
Low flood at Tarbela, Kalabagh, Chashma, Guddu, and Sukkur
Authorities are closely monitoring water levels, especially in downstream regions vulnerable to overflow due to rising river pressure.
