
Pakistan, Bangladesh Express Firm Solidarity with Palestinian People at UN Conference
New York: Pakistan and Bangladesh have jointly reiterated their unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their just struggle for self-determination, during a meeting held on the sidelines of the International Conference on the Two-State Solution at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
The meeting took place between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Md. Touhid Hossain, Adviser for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.
Both leaders voiced deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression. They expressed hope that the international community would draw meaningful outcomes from the conference to advance peace and justice for Palestinians.
On the bilateral front, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing political, economic, and cultural cooperation, and emphasized the importance of increasing regional connectivity and people-to-people exchanges.
They also conducted a review of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and agreed to undertake high-level bilateral visits in the near future, marking a renewed momentum in diplomatic and strategic engagement between the two nations.
