When will Pakistan and India face off in Asia Cup 2025?
Group Matches
Placed in Group A, Pakistan will face Oman, UAE, and arch-rivals India. The national side kicks off its journey on 12 September against Oman in Dubai, followed by a face-off with the UAE on 17 September, also in Dubai. But the most anticipated clash is set for 14 September, when Pakistan takes on India in a high-voltage encounter under the Dubai lights.
Group B consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong, with matches beginning from 9 September.
Complete Group A fixtures:
Pakistan vs Oman – 12 Sep, 6 PM, Dubai- Pakistan vs UAE – 17 Sep, 6 PM, Dubai
- India vs Pakistan – 14 Sep, 6 PM, Dubai
- Super Four awaits top teams
- Top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Four stage, starting 20 September. The format ensures a possible second India–Pakistan clash if both sides advance. Most of the Super Four and final fixtures are scheduled in Dubai, with the grand final taking place on 28 September.
- Pakistan to play T20I tri-series in UAE from August 29
- The decision to host the Asia Cup in the UAE follows the success of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, co-hosted by Pakistan and the UAE earlier this year. With political sensitivities keeping India’s matches in Dubai during the Champions Trophy, the same arrangement appears to continue.
- That event saw record-breaking viewership, with over 368 billion minutes watched globally. The Emirates Cricket Board and PCB both received praise for smooth logistics, strong security, and sell-out stadiums.
