Producer made extremely inappropriate demands for lead role: Hafsa Butt

Pakistan’s rising actress and model Hafsa Butt has broken her silence on the issue of harassment by a producer.

The actress recently participated in an interview during which she discussed various topics related to her career and personal life.
When asked about harassment, Hafsa Butt admitted that “at the beginning of my showbiz career, I faced extremely inappropriate demands from the casting couch.”

She said, “Harassment happens to everyone in showbiz, it happened to me too, but then I was told that it was all normal.”
According to the actress, “At the beginning of showbiz, a producer asked me through a voice note whether I had ever played a lead role. When I refused, the producer’s next voice note was, ‘If I offer you a lead role in a project, then I should also benefit from it.'”
Hafsa said, “After this message, when I asked the producer what the benefit meant, he spoke to me in a very inappropriate manner.” She said, “After this message, I blocked the person, after which the next day I received a call from another number. On the call, the producer, to clear his embarrassment, said that I did not say that for you.”
