
Public holiday declared in Islamabad on Aug 13
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The local authorities declared that the federal capital will observe a public holiday on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in connection with upcoming Independence Day festivities.
The announcement comes as the nation gears up to mark the 78th Independence Day
According to a notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon, the holiday will apply across the Islamabad Capital Territory, excluding essential services such as MCI, CDA, ICT Administration, police, IESCO, SNGPL, and hospitals.
The announcement comes as the nation gears up to mark the 78th Independence Day, coupled with celebrations of victory in Marka-e-Haq — the name given to the recent armed conflict between Pakistan and India.
