
China Extends Support to Flood-Affected Families in Pakistan
Islamabad :Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Jiang Zaidong, on behalf of the Government of China, handed over a relief cheque to assist the victims of the recent flash floods in Pakistan.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Jiang expressed China’s solidarity with the people of Pakistan in this time of difficulty. He reaffirmed that China and Pakistan are “iron brothers” and that Beijing will continue to stand by Islamabad in the face of natural disasters and humanitarian challenges.
The relief assistance is aimed at supporting rescue, rehabilitation, and relief efforts for communities affected by the devastating floods, which caused widespread damage to homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods across several regions of Pakistan.
Pakistani officials thanked the Government and people of China for their timely support and reiterated that such gestures reflect the strong bond of friendship and mutual trust between the two countries.
China has been consistently extending humanitarian aid to Pakistan during natural calamities, further strengthening the spirit of cooperation under the framework of the China-Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
