EU and sightsavers launch €1 million project to empower women with disabilities in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The European Union (EU) has joined forces with Sightsavers to launch the Beyond Barriers project, a three-year initiative aimed at advancing women’s rights, economic empowerment, and preventing gender-based violence and harassment for women with disabilities in Pakistan.

The project, valued at €1 million, will work towards creating a world where women with disabilities can thrive. On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the EU and Sightsavers emphasized their commitment to promoting inclusivity and equality for women with disabilities.
