67 Afghan Taliban Terrorists Killed as ‘Operation Ghazb Lil Haq’ Intensifies in Balochistan, K-P

Islamabad: At least 67 Afghan Taliban terrorists were killed on Tuesday as Pakistani security forces intensified “Operation Ghazb Lil Haq” in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, repelling coordinated cross-border attacks, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed.

One soldier of the Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC) North embraced martyrdom during the operations, while five others sustained injuries.

Balochistan: 27 Terrorists Neutralized

According to the minister, terrorists launched 16 physical attacks in Balochistan’s border districts of Qilla Saifullah, Noshki, and Chaman. All were successfully repulsed by security forces. Additionally, troops faced fire raids at 25 other locations along the border, which were effectively thwarted.

“One soldier of FC Balochistan North gave the ultimate sacrifice while defending the motherland, while five soldiers are injured,” Tarar posted on X.

He confirmed that 27 Afghan Taliban terrorists were killed during the operations in Balochistan.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa: Fire Raids Repulsed

In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, security forces faced a series of attacks overnight. Tarar reported that a physical attack was attempted at one location, while fire raids were conducted at 12 separate sites. All incursions were repulsed without any loss of life among Pakistani troops.

“Physical attack was attempted at one place while fire raid was conducted on 12 locations which were all repulsed without any loss of life,” he wrote.

The minister added that 40 Afghan Taliban terrorists were killed during operations in the province.

Operation Ghazb Lil Haq: The Background

“Operation Ghazb Lil Haq” was launched late Thursday following renewed clashes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The operation was triggered when Afghan Taliban forces fired on multiple Pakistani border locations, prompting swift and decisive military retaliation.

According to earlier official statements:

  • 435 Afghan Taliban combatants have been killed since the operation began.
  • 188 tanks and vehicles destroyed.
  • 31 Afghan posts captured.
  • 51 locations across Afghanistan successfully targeted in air strikes.
  • Over 630 Afghan operatives injured.

Fighting Continues Along the Border

The intensity of the conflict was underscored by reports from Afghanistan. AFP journalists in Kabul heard multiple explosions and gunfire as clashes continued. Blasts echoed across the Afghan capital alongside anti-aircraft fire.

Afghanistan’s defence ministry confirmed that fighting with Pakistani forces was ongoing. Residents in Torkham, the nearest border crossing approximately 50 kilometers from Jalalabad, told AFP that the days-long fighting was continuing.

The Core Issue: Cross-Border Terrorism

Islamabad has consistently maintained that its strikes are targeting terrorist groups that use Afghan soil to launch attacks inside Pakistan. The government accuses the Afghan Taliban administration of failing to act against outfits like the TTP (Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan) , which continue to operate from safe havens across the border.

The current violence is the worst since October 2025, when clashes killed more than 70 people on both sides and largely shut down land borders.
