Paris Jackson opens up about drug use, shares sober journey
(Web News)Paris Jackson has candidly opened up about her past struggles with drug use and a long-standing nasal injury caused by it. In a TikTok clip posted on Monday, the 27-year-old actress and model revealed she had “never actually addressed this” before showing off her perforated septum.
Jackson explained that the small hole in her septum, which causes a loud whistle when she breathes through her nose, is slightly different from a deviated septum. She directly linked it to her previous drug use, jokingly warning, “Don’t do drugs, kids,” and seriously noting that drugs had “ruined my life.”
The star also addressed why she hasn’t opted for surgery to fix her nose, saying she’s been six years sober and doesn’t want to take the pills required for such a procedure. She added that she’s been living with the issue since the age of 20 and joked about being able to thread a spaghetti noodle through the hole in her septum.
Jackson’s revelation comes just a month after she spoke about her journey to sobriety at the 35th annual Friendly House Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles on October 11, 2025. During the event, she was awarded the Shining Star Award for her work with Friendly House, a rehabilitation program supporting women healing from trauma.
Reflecting on her sobriety, Jackson shared, “I didn’t just get my life back. I got a better one… I feel like getting sober was kind of like getting into a car accident because everything I shoved in the back seat moved forward on impact, and today I’m learning to navigate life on life’s terms.”
The singer and model emphasized her commitment to helping others struggling with substance abuse, saying she is grateful to be part of a movement that aligns with her “higher purpose” and daily practice of conscious living.
