Filipino Expatriates in Karachi Celebrate Paskuhan 2025, Embracing Culture and Community
KARACHI: The Philippine community in Karachi came together to celebrate Paskuhan sa Karachi 2025, a vibrant Christmas gathering hosted at A Zee Organic Farm, owned by long-time friend and supporter of Filipinos and the Honorary Consulate General, Mr. Sharif Tabani. Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez graced the occasion as its Guest of Honor, joined by the Filipino community and representatives of the Philippine Embassy.

The program began with a Christian Mass offering. Ambassador Fernandez delivered an inspirational message, emphasizing the significance of Christmas for Filipinos and urging the Filipino community to practice the spirit of giving (which, he said, is a core element of Christmas) not only at Christmastime but all throughout the year.
The Ambassador also lauded the Filipino community in Karachi for their exemplary work ethic, integrity, and positive representation of the Philippines abroad, noting: “The real ambassadors of our country are Filipinos like you who bring honor and a good name to the Philippines through your dedication and character.”

The festive celebration featured:
•Cultural Presentations by community members
•Parol-making contest with certificates and awards
•Dance numbers and interactive performances
•Parol viewing with the Ambassador and Consul General
•Communal lunch showcasing Filipino and local cuisine
The event provided Overseas Filipinos and Overseas Filipino Workers in Karachi a meaningful opportunity to celebrate their heritage, strengthen community bonds, and embrace the joy and generosity of the Filipino Christmas tradition.
Paskuhan sa Karachi 2025 reflects the Philippine Embassy’s commitment to supporting its citizens abroad, fostering community spirit, and celebrating Filipino culture, even when far from home.
