Ottawa: The Conservative Party of Canada says it set a fundraising record in 2025, collecting almost $48 million from more than 327,000 donations.
“These generous donations from people across the country demonstrate the widespread faith in our Conservative message of hope for a safer, more affordable Canada,” party leader Pierre Poilievre said in a statement.
According to Elections Canada, the party raised $28.1 million in the first quarter, $9 million in the second quarter, and $4.2 million in the third quarter. The Conservatives say their fourth-quarter report, being filed now, will show more than $6.4 million raised in the final three months of 2025.
“This generosity fuels our movement and helps us prepare to take on the Carney Liberals whenever the next election comes,” Poilievre said.
Last week, the Liberal Party released its annual fundraising numbers, reporting more than $29 million in 2025—almost double what it raised in 2024. According to Elections Canada, the Liberals brought in $13.2 million in the first quarter, $7.6 million in the second, and $2.95 million in the third.
“This was a historic year, and it continues to be a historic moment for the Liberal Party,” said Azam Ishmael, the party’s national director.
The New Democratic Party reported $4.6 million in donations for the first nine months of 2025. Elections Canada has not yet released the final fundraising numbers for the fourth quarter.
With both major parties reporting record fundraising, Canada’s political landscape appears set for a competitive election cycle, as parties prepare to mobilize resources for the next federal vote.
