
CM Maryam Nawaz Visits Autism Resource Center in Lahore
Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited the School and Resource Center for Autism in Lahore to review rehabilitation services and newly established training facilities for autistic children.
During her visit, CM Maryam Nawaz carefully observed the therapeutic and rehabilitation process in multiple specialized rooms, including Occupational Therapy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, and Speech Therapy sections. She interacted with children undergoing treatment and appreciated the structured programs designed to improve communication, motor skills, and social development.

Officials briefed the Chief Minister about the center’s role in supporting children with autism through professional therapy and individualized care plans. The briefing highlighted the increasing demand for specialized education and rehabilitation services in Punjab.
In a significant step towards empowerment and inclusion, Maryam Nawaz also visited the Pre-Vocational Training Room and the newly established computer lab for autistic children. The facilities aim to provide practical skill development and digital literacy, helping children become more independent and confident in the future.

This marked the Chief Minister’s first detailed inspection of the pre-vocational and IT training facilities, reflecting the Punjab government’s commitment to inclusive education, skill development, and social integration for special children.
CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized that children with autism deserve equal opportunities, modern facilities, and institutional support to unlock their potential. She reaffirmed the government’s dedication to expanding specialized centers and strengthening rehabilitation services across Punjab.
The visit underscores the Punjab government’s broader vision of promoting inclusive growth and ensuring that differently-abled children receive quality care, education, and opportunities for a dignified life.
