Arrest Warrants Issued for Ali Amin Gandapur and Other PTI Leaders in Connection with October 5 Lahore Protest and Police Violence

Lahore: An Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and several other leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in relation to the October 5 protest in Lahore and the subsequent violence against the police.

According to reports, the Anti-Terrorism Court heard the case related to PTI’s protest in Lahore and the assault on police officers on October 5. The court, on the request of the police, issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Ali Amin Gandapur, as well as for three other PTI leaders, including Hamad Azhar, Saeed Sindhu, and Shahbaz Ahmed.

The arrest warrants were issued by Administrative Judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court, Manzar Ali Gul. The police maintained that the accused leaders, including Ali Amin Gandapur, have not been cooperating with the investigation and have refused to join the inquiry. The case is registered under the jurisdiction of the Musta Gate Police Station in Lahore.

As of now, there has been no official response from PTI leaders regarding the issued arrest warrants. Legal proceedings are now underway following the issuance of the warrants.
