YouTuber ‘Ducky Bhai’ Faces Legal Action for Dangerous Motorway Stunt
Popular Pakistani YouTuber Saadur Rehman, widely recognized as “Ducky Bhai,” has been charged with reckless driving after a viral video showed him operating a vehicle with his feet on a motorway, authorities confirmed on Saturday.
According to a First Information Report (FIR) lodged at Rawalpindi’s Chakri police station on April 19, the influencer posted a clip on social media around 3:20 PM in which he demonstrated “gross negligence” by driving using his lower limbs instead of his hands. The footage allegedly endangered not only his own safety but also that of other motorists, prompting legal action.
The FIR, reviewed by dailyfrontlines, accuses Rehman of violating Article 67 of the National Highway Safety Ordinance (NHSO) 2000, which prohibits reckless or dangerous driving, and Section 279 of the Pakistan Penal Code, addressing rash behavior on public roads. Police emphasized that his actions constituted a “threat to public safety,” with the complaint citing potential risks to life and property.
Rehman’s stunt has sparked widespread criticism, highlighting concerns over social media influencers promoting hazardous behavior for clout. Authorities underscored the legal repercussions of such acts, stressing that endangering others on highways would not be tolerated.
The case marks a growing crackdown on irresponsible content creation in Pakistan, as officials aim to deter similar stunts that jeopardize communal well-being. Investigations remain ongoing, with Rehman yet to publicly address the charges.
