ISPR Reveals Forensic Proof of Indian Army’s Role in Pakistan Attacks; Condemns Pahalgam Accusations

Rawalpindi – Pakistan’s military spokesperson, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, on Tuesday dismissed India’s “baseless allegations” linking Islamabad to the April 22 Pahalgam attack in occupied Kashmir, asserting New Delhi had provided “not a shred of evidence” while itself orchestrating cross-border terrorism through serving army officials.

India’s Unsubstantiated Claims vs. Pakistan’s Forensic Proof

The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) revealed forensic analysis and intercepted communications implicating Indian Army personnel in terror plots targeting civilians and security forces in Pakistan. Key disclosures include:

  • Arrest of Indian-Trained Terrorist: A suspect apprehended near Jhelum on April 25 was found with an Indian-origin drone, IEDs, and cash. Forensic trails linked him to Subedar Sukvinder, a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Indian Army.
  • Audio Evidence: An intercepted call between Indian Major Sandeep Verma and terrorist Abdul Majeed exposed discussions on terror financing and attacks from Balochistan to Lahore.
  • Drone Shootdown: Pakistani forces downed an Indian quadcopter near the Line of Control (LoC), amid fifth consecutive night of cross-border shelling.

Post-Pahalgam Escalation and Indian Terror Network

Lt Gen Chaudhry accused India of activating sleeper cells after the Pahalgam attack, which killed 26 tourists. He cited the recent neutralization of 71 terrorists attempting infiltration via Afghanistan, including 54 killed in North Waziristan.

  • Jaffer Express Attack Link: Pakistan’s UN Mission claimed “credible evidence” of regional adversaries sponsoring the March 11 BLA-led train hijacking.
  • Indian Army’s Direct Role: “RAW isn’t involved—this is the Indian Army’s terrorism,” Chaudhry stated, naming Major Verma and others coordinating attacks via drones and IEDs.

Global Appeal and Pakistan’s Stance

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated calls for a neutral probe into Pahalgam, while the DG ISPR challenged India to submit its claims to independent scrutiny. “Our evidence is open to any credible agency,” he asserted, condemning India’s “campaign to destabilize Pakistan.”

Regional Implications

The accusations come amid heightened LoC tensions and India’s unilateral Indus Waters Treaty suspension. Islamabad has pledged to defend its sovereignty, with the DG ISPR warning: “State-sponsored terrorism won’t weaken Pakistan’s resolve.”
