
Eid-ul-Adha 2025 likely to fall on this date
Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees will hold meetings at their respective provincial headquarters
The final decision on the date of Eid-ul-Adha will be announced on May 27, following the meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee scheduled for that day.
Ministry of Religious Affairs has convened the meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee in Islamabad. The committee will be chaired by Abdul Khabeer Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
Meanwhile, zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees will hold meetings at their respective provincial headquarters, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
If the moon of Zul-Hijjah is sighted on May 27, Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on June 6. If the moon is not sighted on that day, Eid will be observed on June 7.
An astronomer has predicted that the moon will likely be sighted on May 28, which would make Eid-ul-Adha fall on June 7.
