Australia beat West Indies by 159 runs

Ridgetown: Australia defeated the West Indies by 159 runs in the first Test to take the series lead.
Chasing 301 runs on the third day of the match, the West Indies team was bundled out for just 141 runs in the second innings. Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets for 43 runs.
Earlier, Australia had scored 310 runs in the second innings.

Shai Hope, Justin Graves and Shimer Joseph put up some resistance from the West Indies, but the team could not get close to the target. For Australia, spinner Nathan Lyon took the last 2 wickets.
The Australian team was bowled out for 180 runs in the first innings, while the West Indies scored 190 runs in their first innings. However, the second Test of the three-match series between the two teams will be played in St. George from July 3, while the third Test is scheduled for July 12.
