‘Sardar G 3’ first day in Pakistan Rs 45 crore business
Lahore: The latest offering of Indian Punjabi cinema, ‘Sardar Ji 3’, has made a explosive start in Pakistani cinemas, earning a historic business of Rs 4.5 crore on the first day of its release. This film, which is considered controversial in India, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, broke all records not only of Indian but also of local Punjabi films.
The unexpected success of the film, which was released globally on June 27, has surprised even the filmmakers, surpassing the opening day record of Salman Khan’s superhit film “Sultan”.
The overwhelming response given to the film by Pakistani audiences despite issues like inflation and closure of cinemas is a promising sign for the domestic film industry.
The film’s quality shooting, the charming pairing of Diljit and Hania, and the brilliant portrayal of Punjabi culture drew the audience to the cinemas. Hania Aamir, expressing her feelings on the success of the film, said in a video message, “Your love has taken ‘Sardar Ji 3’ to the heights of success.
