Jun 30, 2025

KARACHI:
In a shocking revelation, Karachi police have arrested three popular TikTok influencers and TV drama artists in connection with a high-profile armed robbery worth Rs130 million in the PECHS Block 2 area.

The suspects, siblings Yusra Zaib, Nimra, and Shehriyar, were apprehended following an intense investigation that leveraged CCTV footage and digital forensics. The trio had gained fame on TikTok for their glamorous lifestyle and viral videos, and had also appeared in television dramas and fashion shoots.

How the Robbery Unfolded

According to police reports, the robbery took place between June 25 and 26 at around 3:30 am, when the victim, Muhammad Salik, was returning home.

As Salik parked his car, he was intercepted by a black vehicle carrying two armed men and three burqa-clad women. One suspect wore an FIA-style uniform, complete with a fake monogram, to impersonate law enforcement.

The group stormed the house at gunpoint, fleeing with an astounding haul of:

  • Rs130 million in cash
  • 9 smartphones (including iPhones and a Google Pixel)
  • 25 luxury perfumes
  • 20 wristwatches & 1 smartwatch
  • 2 laptops
  • Other valuables

From Glam to Crime

The suspects’ social media activity, which includes posts with Pakistani and international celebrities, played a key role in identifying them. Police say the trio’s flashy TikTok lifestyle contrasted starkly with their alleged criminal double life.

Yusra Zaib, the most recognizable face among the siblings, has been a brand model and influencer with thousands of followers. Her drama appearances and fashion shoots lent her considerable public visibility, now ironically used to confirm her identity during the investigation.

More Suspects and Ongoing Probe

A fourth suspect, Shahroz, remains on the run. Police are conducting multiple raids to apprehend him and investigate the possibility that the group was part of a larger criminal network.

Authorities are also exploring whether the gang was involved in other high-value heists across Karachi.

What’s Next?

With the recovery of stolen assets still in progress and further interrogations underway, this high-profile case has stunned the public, exposing a dark underbelly of crime masked by social media stardom.

The story continues to unfold as investigators dig deeper into the influencers’ past and their possible connection to organized crime in Karachi.
